Over the years, l've had the privilege of serving many of our patients, building lasting relationships and helping them maintain their eye health and vision. My expertise as a dispensing optician and contact lens optician allows me to offer personalised care, ensuring that every patient finds the perfect solution for their visual needs.I have a keen eye for design, which I believe is essential not only in selecting the best frames for our clients but also in providing an overall tailored experience.
When I'm not at the practice, you can find me running half marathons, snowboarding, or experimenting with new bread-baking recipes. It's my dedication to excellence, both in my work and personal life, that drives me to continually provide the best care to those who trust us with their vision.

With over 25 years of experience as an optometrist, I've dedicated my career to providing exceptional patient care. This includes lecturing and supervising trainees, becoming an independent prescriber during the COVID era, and collaborating closely with Addenbrookes Hospital, contributing to glaucoma clinics.
At my clinic, I pride myself on offering extended testing times and using only the highest quality equipment.
Beyond my clinical work, I believe life's too short for dull moments! Whether it’s prank Fridays, harmless jokes (spiced up with the odd Hindi swear word), or singing my heart out, I thrive on keeping things lively. Outside of work, I’m all about carving snowy slopes, hitting aces on the tennis court, mastering meditation, and spending quality time with my two mischievous sons and my fabulous wife, whose cooking is nothing short of magic.

I have worked in optics for over eleven years. I graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with a First Class Honours Degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing, and completed my FBDO in order to practice as a Dispensing Optician. I have also achieved an MSc in Healthcare Management.
Although born in Norfolk, I now live in the Cambridgeshire area with my partner and fur baby Rupert the Cat.

Clamp Optometrists is an Award-Winning Independent Practice in the Heart of the City of Cambridge.
As an established independent, we take the time to treat all our clients as individuals, so come and experience our excellent customer service from our friendly, professional staff.
We have invested substantially in new technology and equipment for detecting and diagnosing eye conditions, so that our optometrists can provide you with the highest standard in eye care.
There has been an optometrist at this premises for over 100 years; we have testing rooms on the first and second floor. If you require testing on the first floor please specify.
Clamp Optometrists Win a Local Business Award
Clamp Optometrists have won a regional award in recognition of their high level of customer service and experience.
The Clamp team took home the Eye Care Specialists of the Year award at the 2020 Cambridgeshire Prestige Awards, which celebrate businesses that have thrived in their highly competitive community and have proven their success during the past 12 months.
Winners are chosen based on their marketing and branding, business growth methods, customer experience, and approach to new ideas.
Mitesh Gandhi, Optometrist and Clinical Director, said: “To win this award is amazing and I’m so proud of the team for the effort they put in every day.
“At Clamp we believe everyone deserves the best, especially in their eye care; everyone in the team works towards the same goal of improving the patient journey.
"We all work tirelessly every day to try and deliver excellent clinical care and attention to detail, so it's a great privilege to be recognised across the Cambridgeshire area with this award.”
The practice has made an effort to accommodate all patients, including by opening seven days a week and even offering late night appointments on Wednesdays by staying open till 8pm.
David Arnott, Practice Manager and Director said: “Offering Sunday and late-night appointments during the week is all about providing our patients with as much flexibility as possible, which we believe only enhances the patient experience that we offer.
“This practice has become almost like a second home here as I’ve been with the practice for over 20 years and that means I’ve got to know our patients really well; I always looking forward to welcoming them back.
